What Kind of Phifer Screening Should I Choose?
The type of screening you should use is based largely on what features the consumer needs in their pool cage and what kind of use and challenges it will endure.
If you want the best protection from bugs, Phifer Bettervue would likely be your best choice. If you live on a golf course and your pool lanai is routinely hit by golf balls, Phifer's Tuff Screen might be the best option. If you're looking for privacy, Phifer's Sunscreen option will provide you with both privacy and heat reduction.
When we come out to give you your free estimate, we'll discuss what you're looking for and can make suggestions as to what type of Phifer screens will be the best solution for your needs.
How Long Does Phifer Screening Last?
The average lifespan of a pool screen depends on several factors: the kind of screening, the quality of the screen, the color of the pool cage frame, the quality of the installation, the amount of exposure the screen has to the sun, and the amount of screen maintenance the owner performs.
Phifer is high-quality screening. Generally, consumers can expect their Phifer screens to last between 7-15 years depending on which Phifer product option is used.
Phifer Screens vs. Artisan Wire Screening
What are Artisan Wire screens? They're the term used to describe a cheap grade of screening manufactured in China. Sometimes screening companies will be able to offer lower prices because they install Artisan Wire instead of a higher quality screening like Phifer. While the initial price tag may be cheaper, Artisan Wire only has a lifespan of about 3-4 years, which is less than half that of Phifer.
About the Phifer Limited Warranty & Guarantee
If the Phifer screen fabric becomes nonfunctional due to changes in physical properties, it will be covered under their limited warranty (which is 5-10 years for most products).
If the fabricated screen appears to be defective, it must be returned to Phifer without hardware or attachments to be inspected. If found to be defective, the screening will be replaced, free of charge, with an equal product and quantity.
The limited warranty does not cover the cost of labor concerning removal, return, or reinstallation of the screening. It also doesn't cover normal wear and tear and exposure to the elements.
Note – we do our best to keep Phifer's limited warranty information updated in this section. However, we recommend you always verify the current warranty information for any Phifer product with Phifer or our team before choosing your screening option.
In addition to the limited warranty offered by Phifer, we stand behind our workmanship here at Screenpro of Central Florida, and we provide a two-year warranty on it.
